Look, I’m not sure if the DEI industry is dying a slow death or just going through a rough patch. Either way, I think it’s important to tell the truth about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

  • Straight white men with skills and talent have nothing to fear from DEI programming.

  • Hiring quotas, at least in the United States, are illegal.

  • Pure meritocracies don’t exist.

  • Yes, DEI promotes shared values, but it is not a form of groupthink. It has always given voice to diverse and varied points of view.

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are goals. DEI is not an exact science. Sometimes it fails, but often it succeeds.
